The Bag Holder (take 1)–{Review}
I cannot even begin to tell you how EXCITED I was when I was asked to review The Bag Holder! It’s so funny because because a week before, I was surfing the web and accidentally found this fabulous product and want to try it SO BAD. Then, as if a miracle, I was asked to review it!!! How lucky was that??
Anyway, I will be doing several reviews on this product because I plan on trying it for many different things. This review is my first time using The Bag Holder.
We had a birthday party for my daughter the other day, so I decided I would try making cupcakes with The Bag Holder. I already had enough to do to get ready for the party, so I didn’t really want a big mess to clean up. So I first put the wet ingredients in the bag and then the cake mix. I sealed up the bag, trying to get rid of as much air as possible, and went to town mixing it up!
My daughters even helped with the mixing! They loved the feel of it and thought it was so fun helping Mommy make the cupcakes! Not to mention, I got some other stuff done while they were “mixing” the batter for me!
Then I snipped a corner of the bag and put the batter directly into the wrappers!!! Easy peasy! I have to say, this is the least mess I have EVER made making cupcakes! I usually get batter everywhere!! And trying to scoop it out into the cupcake wrappers….forget about it!!! What a disaster! But with The Bag Holder, I had ZERO mess and clean up!!! AWESOME!!!! I LOVED using it to make the cupcakes!
I forgot to take a picture, but I also used a bag to pipe on the icing!! Now, making cupcakes isn’t so bad!
And my little 4 year old princess enjoyed her cupcakes and birthday! (That is the most important part anyway, right?)

Scala Collezione Hat–{Review}
How do you like my hat?? Pretty cute, right?
Well, guess what? It may be cute, but it also provides sun protection of UPF 50 Plus!!! This adorable hat I am wearing has a 4 inch brim, ric rac design and a simple back bow. It is cotton/poly and has a ribbon sweatband inside for comfort, and it is really comfortable! I wore it at my daughter’s birthday party that we had outside and half the time, I forgot it was on my head! That is how comfortable and light weight it is! The only time I remembered I had it on was when someone complimented me on how cute it was!
This hat is also great because you can crush it and it goes back into shape! So it would be a great hat to pack for vacation! It is also super light weight. It is cute paired with casual wear, beach wear or even a sundress! It is one size fits all and comes in four colors – fuchsia, black, aqua and white (all with contrasting trim color).
If you would like one of these hats for yourself, you can purchase them www.womens-hats.com for only $30!!
Disclosure: I was given a hat to review from Dorfman Pacific through Lipton Publicity. All opinions are my own.

Flipflop Wine–{Review}
I was so excited when I was asked to do a review for Flipflop wines! I was actually more excited for my husband than myself, I guess…He is the wine drinker. I’m not. But I know you can make some yummy drinks out of wine, so that was the plus side for me!
When I received the wines and opened the box, I immediately fell in love with the label! How adorable! And with a label like that, you just have to try them, right? I tasted all 3 along with my husband. We tried the Riesling, the Pinot Grigio and the Pinot Noir. Our definite favorite was the Riesling! That is what my husband normally drinks anyway. He said he LOVED it! He was very impressed with the taste.
A few days later I had a friend come over and try the Pinot Noir (it was the only one we had left at that point). She thought it was fantastic! It was then gone that night….but let me tell you what we actually did with our fabulous flipflop wine!
WE MADE SANGRIA!!!!
(That’s the part I was looking forward too!)And let me tell you….YUMMMMMYYYYYY!!!
That is why once we opened the wine, they were gone so fast….I had my husband make Sangria with the wine and we drank it down! (We did share a little with some friends too….)
Anyway, I would highly recommend these frugally priced wines. They are only $7 (sometimes less) a bottle! Not to mention, flipflop wines had partnered with Soles4Souls to help distribute shoes to those in need! I love that! Just these 2 facts alone made me want to try flipflop wine.
I hope to try out some of the other ones soon! I will let you know how we like those too! Please try flipflop wine and visit them to learn more on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and their website!

Here, Home, Hope by Kaira Rouda {Book Review}
Kelly Mills Johnson becomes restless in her thirty-ninth year. An appetite for more forces her to take stock of her ordinary middle-American existence and her neighbors’ seemingly perfect lives. Her marriage to a successful attorney has settled into a comfortable routine, and being the mother of two adorable sons has been rewarding but exhausting. Meanwhile, Kelly’s own passions lie wasted. She eyes with envy the lives of her two best friends, Kathryn and Charlotte, both beautiful, successful businesswomen who seem to have it all. Kelly takes charge of her life, devising a midlife makeover plan.Here, Home, Hope will surely appeal to readers of chick lit and other women’s fiction titles who are ready to transition into something new in their own life.
Below is a trailer for the book, but I must say that it doesn't even begin to show how good this book is.
I absolutely LOVED this book and related with it on so many levels! First of all, it is based in Ohio, which is where I live. Secondly, it is about a woman (and other women) approaching 40. And most of all, it really spoke to the entrepreneur in me! These are not the only reasons I related to this book, but they are the top 3.
The characters in this book were so real to me. I felt as if I knew them and that I wanted to know them better. Once I picked this book up, I didn't want to put it down. It is a fast, easy read that will make you laugh, cry, and really think about life. This book made me feel like I wanted to make my life better and that I can! It really makes you feel like you can accomplish whatever you put your mind to, and even when there are some "bumps in the road" you can work through them with the help of family and good friends! Really, it's so inspiring!
I highly recommend this book for your summer reading! If you have read it or plan to, let me know! I would love to know what you think of the book too!
If you would like to learn more about the author, Kara Rouda please visit her website! You can also follow her on Twitter or Facebook!
Want to meet Kaira Rouda? She is doing a book tour! Check out when and where HERE!

*Disclosure: I received a free copy of the book from One2One Network to faciliate your review. However, the opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way by being given a free book.

Pretty Pink Earplugs
A portion of sales from these earplugs goes directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc.! How great is that!?! The NBCF goal is to extend women’s lives by increasing awareness of the disease through research, education, early detection and by providing free mammograms for those in need. I love that!
These Pink disposable earplugs are made from soft, hypo-allergenic polyurethane foam, featuring a tapered design that provides a secure, comfortable fit. With a high noise reduction rating (NRR) of 32, this plug offers some of the most advanced hearing protection on the market. The bright pink color also makes it easy to tell if a worker is wearing them or not during routine checks.
So, if you need to get some earplugs, please visit Magid Glove & Safety to order yours today!
(If I could only get away with wearing these around the house while my kids are home for the summer...that would be great! haha)
