We have another great giveaway by Miss Lucy's Monograms! You may remember a few weeks ago we did a review and giveaway for a Monogrammed Diaper Tote by Miss Lucy's Monograms. They were very generous and decided to offer a second giveaway for a Monogrammed Hanging Cosmetic Case. Yay, I was so excited when I received this Hanging Cosmetic Case. If you are a mother then you understand how hectic it can be around the house. I am currently watching 6 children under the age of 4 and my house is completely unorganized including my bathroom with all my make-up and beauty products strewed all over the place. This Hanging Cosmetic Case is a life saver! Not only is it absolutely adorable but it is keeping me more organized then I was before. This is also great to use if you travel a lot. It conveniently folds up (as shown in the first picture above) and has a handle to carry as luggage.

Need Washing?
I received this email below from my Aunt and I wanted to share it with my loyal readers. I don't know who originally sent it but I would definitely give credit to whoever wrote this. It made me think of my 3 year old daughter and the things she has said similar to this that makes us laugh sometimes and cry others because children are to smart and innocent. Sometimes their logic makes sense and it opens our eyes even more.
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in WalMart. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence.
It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout.. We all stood there, under the awning, just inside the door of the WalMart.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day.
I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
Her little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in, 'Mom let's run through the rain,' she said.

Living in Texas especially in the months of July, August, and September we reach temperatures in the 90's and 100's often. Ice Cream is a life saver when we want a sweet treat that will cool us down. 1001 Healthy Baby Answers Book {Review + 2 Giveaways}
As a new parent I worry about every little thing with my children and sometimes can't decide if I should take them to see the doctor or to the Emergency Room. About a week ago all my children got sick but my daughter had an allergic reaction to Ibuprofen. It was on the weekend and my husband made a quick decision to take her to the Emergency Room. At the time we did not know the allergic reaction was from Ibuprofen but the doctors were very happy that we brought her in. Her temperature was below normal, rashes all over her face and torso, her face and lips began to swell and she just did not look very well overall. The emergency room gave her Benadryl and some Steroids to counteract the allergic reaction.1001 Healthy Baby Answers is an awesome book that can ease some parents concerns. It's very easy to read meaning it's not in doctors terms but written by a doctor so parents can understand it. This is a good guide to have on hand especially for those moms-to-be. The first thing I read in this book was about Eczema. My daughter has Eczema and we have to be careful with products we put on her skin from soaps to Mosquito Sprays. We recently took in my 4 nieces and nephews and I suspected that one of my nieces has Eczema as well. After reading the section about Eczema I am now convinced that this is what she has.
I found this book to be a truly good guide for us. It answered a lot of questions for me regarding Poison Ivy, Vomiting, Athlete's Foot, and Bedwetting. I am that mom who leaves the doctors office forgetting everything that the doctor said. Now I can do a quick reference check with this book to see if it answers my questions before I make an unnecessary call to the doctors office.
